All of our plants are grown in closed terrarium or greenhouse environments with ambient temperatures between 75 and 80 degrees with humidity levels around 80%. They are also grown in a well-draining substrate (ex. potting soil) and under indirect, bright light. It is best for the plants you buy from us to remain under these conditions however, some can acclimate to an environment outside of this but should be done slowly as it can stress out the plants too much if done too quickly.

Begonia amphioxus is a rare and exotic plant native to the rainforests of Malaysia and Borneo. It belongs to the Begoniaceae family and has elongated leaves that are dark green with silver markings, giving them a unique herringbone appearance. The botanical name "amphioxus" refers to the spear-like leaves tapered at both ends. It grows in shaded areas on the forest floor and can reach 18 inches in height and 16 inches in width.
